The Panasonic Lumix LX3 is (almost) the same camera as the Leica D-Lux 4. It was in those years one of the very best digital compact cameras available, with an excellent lens (Leica!) with 2.0 as largest aperture. The great thing about this camera is that it can work fully automatically, but above all that you can set everything yourself (PASM settings, manual focusing, determining the focal plane yourself, etc.) It was therefore primarily intended for serious photographers to use as a second camera to be used next to the SLR. And more than ten years after the introduction that is still possible and that is what I will do with this little wonder.
